{"id":2302,"date":"2009-12-13T19:25:24","date_gmt":"2009-12-13T19:25:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/we-english.co.uk\/blog\/?p=2302"},"modified":"2009-12-13T19:26:00","modified_gmt":"2009-12-13T19:26:00","slug":"sleep-furiously","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/we-english.co.uk\/blog\/2009\/12\/13\/sleep-furiously\/","title":{"rendered":"SLEEP FURIOUSLY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last night I watched the fabulous film, Sleep Furiously (2007) by Gideon Koppel, a documentary love-letter to <a title=\"Trefeurig community website\" href=\"http:\/\/www.trefeurig.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Trefeurig<\/a>, the Welsh farming community in Ceredigion where he grew up, and where his parents found refuge from Nazi Germany during the second world war. The film is a portrait of a landscape and population that is changing rapidly as the old ways and generation are dying out.
