A day later than planned, but when you&#8217;re also packing with a\u00c2\u00a0two-and-a-half year old in tow, things take a little longer.\u00c2\u00a0As with any new venture, we&#8217;re starting with a feeling of both elation and trepidation. But hey, if we can survive a year in Russia, then what&#8217;s a few months around England!<\/p>\n<p>And somewhat surreally we&#8217;ve just been waved off by the <a title=\"Chanctonbury Ring Morris Men\" href=\"http:\/\/www.chancsarchive.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Chanctonbury Ring Morris Men<\/a> who turned up to perform on the street outside our local pub, The Eclipse.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1277\" title=\"_0017957\" src=\"http:\/\/we-english.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/05\/_0017957.jpg\" alt=\"_0017957\" width=\"567\" height=\"425\" srcset=\"https:\/\/we-english.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/05\/_0017957.jpg 567w, https:\/\/we-english.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/05\/_0017957-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 567px) 100vw, 567px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Chanctonbury Ring Morris Men are an all-male side Cotswold and North West (clog) side based just to the north of Brighton.\u00c2\u00a0 Named after the <a title=\"Chanctonbury Ring on wikipedia\" onclick=\"javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('\/outbound\/article\/en.wikipedia.org');\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Chanctonbury_Ring\" target=\"_blank\">Chanctonbury Ring<\/a> (a hill fort based ring of trees on top of the South Downs), they were formed in Shoreham in 1953 and elected to the Morris Ring in 1955.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, I hope you&#8217;ll join me on the blog to see how we get on this summer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re off.
